Dakota Jablon serves as the Director of Federal Affairs at the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, where she uses her public health background to advocate for evidence-based gun violence prevention policies on Capitol Hill. An expert on firearm suicide prevention, she also serves as the Suicide Prevention Specialist at CSGV’s sister organization, the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence. Prior to joining CSGV and the Ed Fund, Dakota worked for now retired Congressman Henry Waxman and his successor, Congressman Ted Lieu. Dakota received her Bachelor’s degree in political science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and earned her Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where her emphasis was mental health and suicide prevention policy.
